We have enjoyed meeting customers old and new at recent boat shows, where we have exhibited the popular Trusty T23 motor cruiser, the beautiful Scangaard 21 Classic day sailer, and the Tamarisk 19, a lovely weekend cruiser. If you saw one of these boats at a show and would like further details, do get in touch and we will be pleased to assist.
At our Hamble Point Marina base, we currently have a shortage of quality pre-owned boats to sell. It may be difficult to sell a house at the moment, but there is a good deal of interest in well presented, sensibly priced yachts of all sizes, and brokerage sales are regularly being completed despite the economic gloom. So, if you are thinking of selling in the months ahead, contact us for details of our special terms and place your boat ashore with us here at Hamble Point where many serious purchasers will view it.
If you are thinking of buying, now is a good time, particularly if you have euros in your pocket, with the current weakness of sterling. In 2007, Global Yachts were appointed as UK agents for TRUSTY MOTOR BOATS, builders of a versatile, cleverly designed and superbly hand-crafted 23 footer that blends technology with tradition and is without equal in her class.
Building on the success of their widely acclaimed TRUSTY T21, the new TRUSTY T23 appeals to a wide range of leisure users. Click on the left for more information, or call us for an information pack. SCANGAARD 21 CLASSIC
Scangaard 21 Classic
We have recently introduced the beautiful Scangaard 21 Classic day-sailer to the UK. First shown at Earls Court 2007, and more recently at the Southampton show in 2008, she has attracted considerable interest.
The Scangaard 21 Classic is a traditionally designed day boat with a long keel, a deep cockpit, elegant overhangs and a pretty sheer. She has timeless lines and delightful sailing characteristics. Full details can be viewed at the Scangaard Website .
MIDGET SAILING YACHTS
Midget 31
Jachtwerf Gebr. de Kloet in Kortenhoef, near Hilversum in Holland, has a well established-reputation in the Dutch yacht-building industry. The yard has been building GRP yachts since 1959. It is a small, family firm that is active in new-building, repairs and maintenance as well as in stainless steel manufacturing. The family have always placed strong emphasis on quality, flexibility, customer-satisfaction and after-sales service.
The yachts are "semi-custom-built”, which means that owners are offered a lot of choice when the interiors of their yachts are built. Only first class materials are used throughout the yacht, and the stainless steel parts and fittings are largely made on the premises, which contribute to the quality and exclusivity of the yachts. All yachts are fully CE compliant. There are two yachts in the range at present - the Midget 31 and the Midget 26 and both have similar standard layouts.
Midget 31 Interior
A Midget under full sail is a wonderful sight. It's unique design both inside and out makes a refreshing change to the computer designed, mass produced products which have flooded the market in recent times. With her classic lines including a canoe stern she stands out from the mainstream. The cockpit is very large for a boat of this size - with teak seating and flooring she provides a warm welcome on board. Down below there is no forecabin. This means there is far more room in the saloon than conventional boats of this size. Two double cabins can be found as standard in the stern which astounds all who see her for the first time.

DEGERO DECK SALOON YACHTS
Degerö 28MS
Built at the Degerö yard near Helsinki, Finland, these yachts offer the build quality that the Scandinavians are famous for, practical and comfortable interiors and traditional hull designs that strike the perfect balance between performance and sea-keeping. The range starts with a 28-foot five-berth motor-sailer, with a distinctive curved transom and a spacious interior. She has a long keel, which as a result of a heavy lead ballast, permits shallow draft still retaining stiffness and stability.
Degerö 331
At the top end of the range is a 38-foot deck saloon cruiser, with a modern hull design and a sumptuous six-berth interior. In between, there are 31, 33, 35 and 36 foot models, all offering the same high quality joinery and finish, distinctive designs and high specifications.
All models are "hand made" and represent the best quality and finish in woodwork as well as fibreglass. Degerö yachts are built by people that care for and love sailing and sailing boats. They are constructed using the best raw materials.
